Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker was established by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then left the company. Corcoran was a participant in 12 episodes of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. In February of 2020, she's signed 53 deals on the show, with the most significant being a $350,000 investment to purchase 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was born in Edgewater, New Jersey, the second child of 10 from a working class Irish Catholic family. Florence Corcoran's mother was an errand-taker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. moved from job to job during Corcoran's childhood. The family relied on food deliveries from a friendly local grocer for free food. Corcoran claims her father was a drunken man who treated her mother with disrespectful and condescension. Corcoran was a struggle in school and later learned that she had dyslexia. Corcoran started in high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her time at an Catholic primary school. Corcoran, who had failed numerous classes in her freshman year, transferred to Leonia High School. There she received a grade of D.
