Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson for US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a CNN political commentator from 2017 until 2020. Psaki started her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and was later elected governor of Iowa. Psaki later served as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and was the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was the press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. In the year 2000, Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] The speculations that she would be replacing Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her hire by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement of Carney on May 30th in 2014. In 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and remained until the close of the Obama administration.
